Assisted living, explained.
Support with daily life, in a home that feels like home.
Who it often suits
Assisted living is often chosen by people who want help with things like bathing, dressing, medication reminders or meals, but do not need round the clock medical care.
Paying for it
Assisted living is usually paid privately, and some long term care insurance or benefits may help. Medicare generally does not cover long term custodial care. Rules vary by state, so ask the advisor what applies.
Questions
How do I know it is time?
Many families start when daily tasks become hard to manage safely. An advisor can talk through your situation without any commitment.
